Signing of MOU between TNO/ OFW-Kabayan Help Desk Region 1

POEA Formalizing Partnership

Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) Administrator, Hans Leo J. Cacdac, and TNO/OFW-Kabayan Help Desk (TNO/OFWK)  Region 1 Chairman,  Dr. Rev. Diosdado I. Patacsil jointly signed a MOU on February 20, 2015. The MOU signing ceremony was held at Bread On the Waters Christian Ministries Inc., Lioac Sur, Naguilian, La Union. This MOU is to formalize the partnership of POEA and TNO/OFWK Region 1 to coordinate efforts to implement an intensified and well sustained campaign against illegal recruiters and also which will serve as a model to the Body of Christ.

The MOU signing was witnessed by the TNO/OFWK Operations Manager, Ptr. Warfil De Leon from and TNO/OFWK Region 1 Secretary, Ptra. Amelia Patacsil.

Coinciding with this event was the Capability Enhancement Training (CET) and Pre-Employment Orientation Seminar (PEOS), conducted by the POEA trainers from Manila.

The historical event was well attended by officers and delegates from POEA, OWWA and LGU, and residents from Brgy Lioac Sur and Norte together with the different chapters of TNO/OFW-Kabayan Help Desk: CAR , Laoag , San Fernando City, Aringay, Bauang and Pangasinan.

This event has been  successful because of the proper coordination between the Region 1 office of POEA headed by Dir. Delfina M. Camarillo and TNO/OFW-Kabayan Help Desk Region 1 office, headed by Dr. Rev. Diosdado I. Patacsil together with TNO/OFW-Kabayan Help Desk National Office.
